Good Morning it is already 24C here at 8:30 am and the weatherman is calling for temperatures of 32C.
It is going to be a good day to find a cool place and stay there.
I have to run a few errands today so will make this a short post so I can get them done and back home to the coolness of the airconditioning.
Anyone out there today that is feeling the heat, go somewhere cool, the mall, the library, anywhere where you are able to spend a good part of the day in coolness.
I woke-up this morning with a head/chest cold and am not very happy about the fact I was near people that didn't know enough to stay home when they were sick!
I don't ever remember having a cold in the summer time before...it makes it very hard to breathe in the heat and humidity.
So if you are reading my blog and know me please save yourself some discomfort and do not visit for a few days.
Well I have to run, I am meeting an electrician out at the cottage he is going to be working there today so I guess I will bring along my camera and sit on the dock, or go for a walk and take pictures.

Monday Morning Testing
Good morning to you!
I do hope you have had a great weekend!
I spent sometime running the roads this weekend among other things my mission was to find some dill which I actually had no luck in doing but luckily my mother in law found some for me...such a sweetheart!
I went to Meyersburg Flea Market with a girlfriend and had a great time,we arrived before most of the sellers but that gave us opportunity to check everything out without the vendors constantly trying to sell you on something.
I took my trusty camera and snapped away so here is a few pictures of the flea market in Meyersburg.

Market Morning
Good morning, I am heading off to the flea market in Myersburg Ontario this morning with a dear friend.
I am once again on the hunt for fresh dill weed.
If I am unable to find it I will be eating baby cucumber sweet pickled!
We will be close to the Empire Cheese Factory so will definitely be stopping in for some fresh curd!
I hope to be spending my afternoon doing laundry and pickling.
Monday I will be late posting as I have an appointment in Peterborough early in the morning.
Have a wonderful Sunday and don't forget to thank the Lord for all the blessings in your life.

Sleepy Saturday
Good morning!
I am late posting today as I slept in this morning!
I usually am up early so this is odd.
I think I must have needed it !
Yesterday I picked-up a girlfriend and went to Brighton Ontario to get a peck of pickling cukes.
Apparently there has been some sort of fungus that has attacked the cucumber plants the last few years and they are quite hard to find locally.
I think I will be smart next year and plant my own pickling cukes as it cost $30.00 for a peck of them this year .
I know it sounds like it is expensive but when you taste the final product it certainly is worth every penny spent.
My dill weed didn't grow this year, a few feathery sprigs stand in the garden, maybe next year it will come up better.
Dill is a weed and it usually is hard to get out of your garden once it starts growing, I have tried for the last 5 years to grow my own and have had no luck.
Anyone had luck growing dill?
If so would you like to share your secret to keep it coming back every year?

You can add whatever your favorite fruit or nuts are, I use dried cherries,dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds and raspberries just for a change.

I have been calling around to the local farms and markets this week looking for a peck of pickling cukes and dill weed for making dill pickles.
Unfortunately I have not been able to locate any.
Anyone reading this post and is in the Kawarthas and knows where there are any, please share the location with me.
I am looking forward to spending this evening with my little earth angel.
As for today, I have neglected my home this week terribly as I have been running the roads quite a bit sooo I guess I had better get the lead out of my pants and clean!

Wednesday's Wish
I wish for many more days spent enjoying my family.
Today I spent with my youngest son, his wife and my little earth angel.
We went to the theatre in Stirling Ontario.
This was my granddaughter's first time going to the theatre and she enjoyed herself, I hope that she will develop a love for the theatre and will be attending more plays with me in the years to come.
